Identity Centered Graduations

Identity-Centered Graduation

As the university is currently postponing in-person events, our department, ODIME & LGBTQ+ Resources wishes to affirm and recognize our graduating students from underrepresented identities in higher education. Know that during this time, we still celebrate you and your accomplishments and are working toward preparing celebratory web-based events and where possible, mailing of regalia (as available) and awards.
These events and ceremonies serve as an affirming identity-centering space for students to share pride and connection to their identities and heritage. This is often a meaningful experience for students who have strived to persist and show resilience in higher education. We are all SO very proud of each of you and your accomplishments!
Below you will find a brief mention for each community we’d like to recognize listed in alphabetical order, along with up-to-date information on each identity-centered event.
We encourage you to:
  • Attend one or more events that align with your identities and/or
  • Participate in our social media photo campaign
