Jamrensze J. De Leon [pronounced: “jaym-rehnz”] joined Mason Nation in January 2024 and serves as the Associate Director of Programming for the Center for Leadership and Intercultural Engagement,.

Jamrensze completed her Bachelor’s at University of California Irvine with a double major in Education Sciences and Sociology, followed by her Masters at The Ohio State University in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Jamrensze is a first-generation immigrant and first-generation college student, who has a passion for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice work. Jamrensze’s academic catalogue includes a publication entry in The SAGE Encyclopedia of Filipina/x/o American Studies, co-written with her one of her Faculty Mentors Dr. Marc Johnston Guerrero, titled “College Student Organizations.”

Jamrensze began her professional career in Higher Education and Student Affairs with various roles in Housing and Residential Life across 4 universities. Jamrensze has served as a Facilitator for courses such as: BLUEPRINT for First-Year Emerging Leaders, Leading Inclusion and Belonging with Resources and Education, Creating Inclusive Communities, Diversity and Social Justice in Leadership, and Finances 101. Jamrensze is also a licensed Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Qualified Administrator. Jamrensze hopes for her future research to center the narratives of the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) community and their experiences with microaggressions and racial enoughness, especially in the postsecondary education environment.

Jamrensze’s spare time is occupied by her 4lb teacup Maltese named Niyebe (“Snow” in Tagalog/Filipino), Barre-tending at her local Pure Barre workout studio, working on DIY arts and crafts projects (Instagram: @JaDe.Creating), or finding a way to make something pink!
