Native American and Indigenous Heritage Month Kickoff
Thursday, November 1, 2018, 11:30am-1:30pm on SUB I Quad
Drop by for our Native American and Indigenous Heritage Month Kickoff event! We recognize that the land we are on originally belongs to the Kinwaw Paskestikweya or Piscataway Conoy and Dogue/Doeg Peoples, and we invite the GMU community to drop by in recognition of NAIHM. Community members can come and put their handprint on a poster featuring this year’s theme: Reindigenize: Remember, Question, Resist. By placing their hand on the poster, community members are sharing their commitment to reindigenization in support of NAIHM 2018. We hope you will join us!
